Privacy Policy

1. Data Collection & Specific Purposes

We collect personal data through three primary channels:

Direct Interaction: When you fill out forms on our site (contact forms, service inquiries), we collect your name, email, and any company details provided.

Newsletter & Marketing: When you join our mailer lists, we collect your contact info and track “engagement” (opens and clicks) to ensure our content is relevant.

Automated Tracking: We use cookies and pixels to understand how you interact with 5dt online.

2. Advertising & Analytics

We use Google-provided tools to measure performance and deliver ads.

Google Analytics 4 (GA4): This helps us analyse website traffic. GA4 in 2026 is designed to be “privacy-first,” but it still processes IP addresses (anonymized) and user behaviour. We do not share personally identifiable information (PII) with Google through these tags.

Google Ads (AdWords): We use conversion tracking and remarketing pixels. This means if you visit the 5dt site, you may see our ads on other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising via Google’s Ad Settings.

Legal Basis: We process this data based on your explicit consent (via our cookie banner) or our legitimate interest in improving our service.

3. Forms & Mailer Lists

Usage: Information submitted via forms is used solely to fulfil your request (e.g., a callback or a quote).

Third-Party Processors: We may use platforms like Mailchimp, HubSpot, or Salesforce to manage our mailers. These providers are strictly prohibited from using your data for their own purposes.

The “Double Opt-In”: For our mailers, we use a double opt-in process to verify your email and prevent unauthorized sign-ups. You can “Unsubscribe” at any time via the link in the footer of any email.

4. International Data Transfers

Because 5dt operates in multiple countries, data collected in one region (like the EU) may be stored or processed in another (like the US).

Safeguards: We utilize Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and adhere to the Data Privacy Framework (DPF) to ensure that your data receives the same level of protection globally as it does in your home country.

5. Data Retention Schedule

We do not keep data forever.

Inquiry Forms: Deleted after 5 years of inactivity.

Analytics Data: Set to expire after 24 months

Mailing Lists: Retained until you unsubscribe, at which point your data is suppressed to ensure you aren’t re-added.

6. Your Rights & Contact

Under global laws (GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, etc.), you have the right to:

Request a “Subject Access Request” (SAR): See exactly what data 5dt holds on you.

The Right to Erasure: Request we delete your entire record.

The Right to Object: Stop us from using your data for marketing.

To exercise these rights, contact: webmaster@5dt.com
